Birth: Father or familial elder acknowledges or discards them. Receive a milk-name.
1 year: Recieve a true name.
7 years: Boys begin training with swords and arms and courtly virtues. Girls begin training in how to run a household, courtly etiquette, etc. The child may be sent away to foster with another noble family.
12 years: Boys are now old enough to be chosen as squires.
14 years: Boys are old enough to be sent to the Magisterium if they are not squired. Fostered children may return to their own families, though many will remain away til 15 or 16 (especially girls).
16 years: If a boy, they are old enough to inherit or be knighted. If a girl they are old enough to be visited by a husband *coughsexcough*. Usual age girls are sent to serve as a lady-in-waiting, though some serve in this task from 14 or so.
17 years: If a girl, they are old enough to inherit

Birth: Parents or head of family (or mom's pimp if you got really unlucky) either accept or discards. Westridge babies may be given up to the skysleep. Receive a milk name.
1 year: Receive a true name.
3 years: begin helping in the field if a serf or farmer, or with minor household tasks.
5 years: Merchant children may start their education from this age, or up to ten years of age. Poorer peasant children may be sold off... er, hired off to work in some household or shop.
7 years: Merchants' children may begin training in their father's shops or trade. Serf children begin to take on an adult share of work.
10 years: if not a serf, likely this age will see a boy begin to take on a man's workload in his father's trade or in the fields.
14 years: Sons of wealthier merchants may be sent off to the Magisterium.
16 years: Apprentices may begin to leave the master and seeking their own fortunes.
18+ years: Marriages and childbearing well begin.
